THE PROCESS

Illustrations:

They are my great passion! I love drawing and creating universes through my paintings.
My illustrations are painted with natural pigments, prepared by me with plants I harvest.
Each painting is unique and unrepeatable. Sometimes they are the product of my imagination, others they are customised, coming from a dialogue with the client.
You can also choose printed illustrations. These are always made from the original ones that I created to be reproduced. They are printed on watercolour paper, so that the texture of the paper gives them a similar appearance to the original painting. All prints are signed and dated by me.

Memory boxes:

These boxes are customised orders, created especially for each client.
As the name suggests, they can be used to store memories, small objects that have marked a particular moment in our lives: our children’s childhood, trips, christenings and weddings… or simply as a storage box for very special items.
All the boxes are made of wood, crafted by carpenters who have worked with me over the years.
Wood is a natural, sustainable product that I particularly cherish. Not only because it’s so versatile and easy to handle, but also because it’s safe, non-toxic and extremely long-lasting (how many pieces of wood have we inherited from our grandparents and continue to treasure?).
These boxes are painted with natural pigments that I prepare myself and then waxed with beeswax or vegetable oils.

Story boxes:

Each boxe tells a story, your story! Each of these boxes is unique, made according to your order, so there are no two alike!
To create them, I get inspiration from my clients’ tastes and ideas. It can be something that represents you, a special moment, a scene from a film, a favourite place, or you can just let your imagination fly…
They are made of natural wood, created from other boxes that were used as packaging for a wide variety of purposes, adapted and finished with a beautiful, smooth finish in beeswax or vegetable oils.
I use the most different materials, all of them recycled, to create the sets and characters.
The paints I use for the backgrounds and details are also made by me from natural pigments.

The paints:

Paints are prepared by me, from wild plants I harvest myself, and others I grow.
I spent four years researching and experimenting ancient techniques, when chemicals were not yet an option.
The paints I use are the result of this search, that was so regarding to me. They are safe, resistant, stable and with tones that vary with the whims of nature.

The waxes and varnishes:

Wooden items are waxed and varnished with beeswax (which I take from our hives) and with natural oils.
They have a satin and waterproof finish, very soft to the touch, free of toxic products.
