Here at home, we love to celebrate! Whether it’s someone’s birthday, the new season, or just because we feel like it!
It also becomes a great excuse to do arts and crafts (another thing we love)!
With Easter coming up, we don’t need to make up any great reasons. The themes connected to it are inspiring in themselves.
This year, we decided to make real eggs… chocolate ones…
Let’s give the Bunny a rest and offer these delights, so simple to create with the help of children of all ages.
Shall we?
WHAT WE NEED
- eggs (just the shell)
- egg cartons
- chocolate (milk, dark, with nuts…)
- piping bag or decorating syringe
- permanent pens (we used Posca)
- fabric, cardboard, EVA, pompoms,… all kinds of elements to decorate the eggs
HOW TO DO IT:
As we used the eggs in the baking, we emptied them carefully.
We washed the inside well and boiled them in water so that there was no trace of the yolk or white.
Then we melt the chocolate in the microwave (1 to 2 minutes on a low heat).
Using the bag or syringe, we carefully poured the chocolate inside the eggs through the opening we had made to empty them.
We put them in the fridge for 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to solidify.
We decorated them with the pen (it’s best to do this on the parts that won’t be in contact with the chocolate, as the shell tends to be very absorbent) and other accessories.
The egg hunt is ready! 🐰🧡
