Halloween is coming up and it’s a great time to be creative.
Today, I’m bringing you a super simple but really fun idea that anyone can try at home, even if you don’t have much experience in drawing or painting: a Halloween DIY made with paint fingerprints!
It’s the perfect project for keeping the little ones busy.
So let’s get to it, then?
WHAT YOU NEED:
Sheets of paper
Paints in Halloween colours (I mainly used shades of orange, black, grey, green and white…)
Black pen
White pen
HOW TO MAKE:
Just dip your finger in the paint and press lightly on the paper. The imperfect shapes are what make each drawing unique! You can play with different sizes and shapes of fingertips to create a wide variety of figures.
Once the paint has dried, it’s time to turn those fingerprints into something spookier! With the black and white pen, I’ve added details such as eyes, mouths, sharp teeth and accessories.
The idea is to have fun and let your creativity guide the process. The figures can be as simple or detailed as you like.
WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT SO MUCH FUN:
One of the reasons is its simplicity. You don’t need to be an expert artist or have complex materials to create something fun and unique.
What’s more, this activity can be done as a family. The little ones will love getting their hands dirty with paint and seeing their fingerprints turn into Halloween figures.
These DIYs are a great way to relax and relieve stress. I felt super chilled out while doing this project and it’s something I’d recommend to anyone who wants to spend some quality time creating.
On Instagram, I shared a reel showing how everything was done from start to finish. To see it, just click HERE.
If you try this idea, I’d love to see the results!👻🎃
